10NM runners thank you for your past support.
It is will mixed emotions that we deliver the announcement
of the permanent retirement of the the Navy10NM race
and the launching of a new event named below.
Trust us ... The race team and all of Navy Mid-South leadership
are well aware this is not a decision that all would agree with.
But due to declining participation which resulted in a loss of sponsorship.
It was necessary for the team to reevaluate the presentation of Navy10NM.
Bottom line... after long and careful consideration
Team agreed it was better to change presentation
to explore potential for growth
rather than totally eliminate the opportunity for our Navy Community
to participate in a long distance running event onboard NSA Mid-South.
We are sad to know we lost many valued supporters and participants.
But we hope that eventually we will regain your support
and that all will join us on this new journey.

WHO BENEFITS FROM THE PROCEEDS?
This event is hosted by the Naval Support Activity Mid-South
Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Program.
All proceeds benefit the Mid-South Military Community.
Our organization directly gives back to our sailors and their families by providing
quality of life enhancing programs and facilities for them while they are stationed here.
Essentially, the Navy community benefits from any proceeds from the event.
MWR Quality of Life programs support the 50,000+ members
of our local Navy Mid-South Military Family community.
MWR provides healthy and affordable fitness and recreation opportunities
at Naval Support Activity Mid-South in Millington TN.
The local MWR operates gymnasium and fitness center, free movie theater,
golf course, discount ticket office, gear rental center, youth recreation centers,
child care centers, food and beverage facilities, and more.
